French Vacation: Update

image

Trente-cinq millimètres essentials (light leaks + scratches added digitally) L to R: Aquatech housing, sunnies, factor 30, Canon EOS 630 with Canon 15mm fisheye, budget Bordeaux, Ilford HP5 black and white film, 200g of Jacques finest Fromage.

Here’s a few bullet points from the trip so far (sans formatting as I’m using my tablet to post this), full post once I settle back in next week.

It’s harder to take a test shot with a 35mm camera
French camera shops are a cut above their English counterparts
I can’t remember the first 30 shots on my 36 exposure film
Mid West France has a lot of promising set ups
Everything sounds better in French (haych peee cinq film sil vous plais)
Old housings have old wiring, old wiring is temperamental
Accidentally shooting three frames of film of nothing means you never forget to switch off the camera again
The Canon 630 is more intuitive to use than the Canon 70D
Film cameras have awesome viewfinders, much better than any dslr I’ve used
