Learning Surf Photography

Some Recent Stories, More Proper Posts Coming Soon

I’ve let up on the posts recently but I’ve been working behind the scenes on some more interesting stuff, and to be honest, nothing’s really grabbed me on the every day front recently, I’ve bookmarked a few stories that were kind-of note worthy, but nothing grabbed me enough to take the time to make a full post.

There’s a couple of things I find annoying about blog style websites like learningsurfphotography.com.

  1. When posts dry up for months at a time for no reason without any notice, this happens a lot and I’ll always try and give you a heads up if this is going to happen here.
  2. I don’t like an endless stream of SEO fodder with nothing actually worth reading, so if I do post about some story from the news I try and relate it to something to do with my own experience learning surf photography, hopefully this gives each post, however temporary the subject matter, something of value to the new reader.

If you didn’t realise, there are now over 200 posts on this website, some are more useful than others but I hope that each one will at least offer something for aspiring surf photographers, and I hope to continue making good quality posts, just excuse the lack of frequency from time to time.

Matz Ginman-Trout at Bantham, the purpose of the shoot was to get some photo’s of this particular board being surfed in average waves, so this one showing the logo and tail dip works quite well, manual mode, ISO 125, 28mm, f5.6 1/1000

So here’s a photo from a shoot I did last week (full post about this shoot will be coming once the photo’s have been used where they were intended), and some unrelated links that weren’t quite worthy of a full feature.

I think it’s flat this week so should give me a chance to finish off a couple of proper posts too.
